there were only two movie theatres listed for
Salisbury,
the Arcade and the Opera House. By 1940, the Wicomico
Theatre
was listed, seating 500, along with three other
theatres in town, the Arcade ( 950 seats ), the New (
450 seats ) and the Ulman ( 600 seats ). By the
mid 1950's, the Arcade and New are still listed, along
with the Ritz Theatre ( 460 seats ) and Ulman's, at
240
West Main Street , and the Wicomico , which by then
seated
