| The early movies in Westminster were shown in the Opera House, a few blocks away , also on Main Street . I'm not sure when the State opened , but it appears to have survived into the 1950's and maybe even the 1960's ( please correct me on this one ) , but the theatre has since been torn down, replaced with a popular eatery. Just up to the street, the Carroll Theatre was built in the late 1930's, and that theatre has since been renovated. |
