.Peabody Theatre Site 2010
Quite a history this site has. For years, it was the old Peabody Theatre, directly to the East of the Aurora Theatre ( which still stands and is used as a church these days ) . Later, the building was a popular Oriole Cafeteria , and then was converted to the Center Stage, before it burned down in the early 1970's ( see below ) . The lot has been made into a used car lot, and the columns on either side show where the front of the old theatre once stood.
