Kilduffs is one of those websites that when we can't
find "it" on the internet, we go ahead and create
"it". I was working on several pages around the State
of Maryland and once in a while, would bump into one
of these old castle style buildings. I looked all over
for more information regarding the buildings, and
found a few sites from the State with no pictures, and
the pictures I did find never had the whole
"collection" from all over the State. Here's what
Kilduffs has found from our trips around the State of
Maryland. We continue to find postcards to add to the
page and have found a few Art Deco style Armories we

The one below was on the campus of the U.S. Naval Academy, the older was in downtown Annapolis, near Calvert Street and was torn down years ago. ..

I don't know why this was such a
hard building to find, but searches online found
very little information on this building. Funny
thing, the whole time I was searching for it, it
was right in front of me. I often use Google Maps
to find a building, but the Interstate was
blocking my view. It's nice to see that the old
Cumberland Armory is still standing, being used,
and looks to be in great condition. It's also nice
to see that the building of the Interstate did not
mean the demise for this building, as the two are
extremely close to each other.
