Forest Theatre, currently used as a church. The old theatre
has seen alot of change over the years near the intersection
of Garrison Boulevard and Libertry Heights Avenue. Below
the current picture posted at the top, the two images
are from the late 1920's and early 1950's respectively.

Above old ads found
for the Forest Theatre, the first from the early 1930's,
"Ladies Love Brutes", the ad makes mention
of the movie being " All Talking ". The second
ad for "The Blue Pearl" actually dates
from before that,around 1920, and gives the theatre
the address of Garrison Blvd near Liberty Hgts. The third
ad above dates to 1921 for the movie "The
Silent Call", with John Bowers. |
