Laplata Movie theatres through the the years :
 From 1933 to 1940 - The Town Hall was listed as showing movies - seating was 225 to 250.
In 1941, The Charles was listed and lasted until atleast the mid 1950's, seating 225 to 446. From what we can tell, the old theatre has currently found a new life as a live theatre.  Also listed in 1941 was the Wolf Hall, which was listed until 1946.
