The Colgate
Theatre was one of three movie theaters along
Dundalk Avenue, and opened in the late
1940's. It survived into the 1950's as a
movie theater, and appears to be in good
condition today, although the graffiti artists
have started their work on the walls. |

40 years later circa
1980. No longer showing movies, the Colgate was
for years a Bingo Hall.

.
A " $3,000 " Jackpot was
sported on the Colgate's marquee for years.

To the right, a postcard shot
of the old Dundalk Airport, not far from the
Colgate Theatre. Before BWI Airport Airport ( AKA
- Friendship Airport ) opened, this was
Baltimore's airport. |
