The Belair Theatre sat vacant for years, and I even remember driving through town in the 1980's, and the marquee was still attached. The building has undergone a renovation , and looks  fine, but it's hard to spot, unless you know where to look. The Argonne Theatre was listed in earlier years , and a insurance map shows the Argonne Theatre at the same address as the Belair Theatre, indicating they are both likely the same building. In 1951, seating for the Belair was listed at 635. I also remember seeing a reference to a Blue Mouse theatre in early years, still trying to ascertain information on that one. In 1914, the Masonic Opera was listed, having a theatre on the second floor, seating 350 - although we don't know if any movies were actually shown there.

A few updates - The first Belair Theatre ( Likely known as the Argone ) was actually in a smaller building , located at 127 Main Street, just to the left of the current building ( the Jewelry and Gift Store ). I'm not sure if that building was torn down or not, but the current Belair Theatre building was built on the lot next to it, and it does appear the old building may still be standing.
