The Belnord was one of the larger theaters in East Baltimore, and lasted until 1969. It has long since been used as a food store. The Belnord opened back in the early 1920's .

While no longer a Foodarama, the Belnord continues to this day to be used as a mattress store ( at last check ) . The front was recently painted, and the old building appears to be in good condition. The Belnord can also be seen from the 2700 block of East Fayette Street, as Pulaski Highway and Fayette join together in that block.
