   Cambridge had several movie theatres listed over the years, including the Arcade Theatre. The Arcade operated for years, and was listed from at least the 1920's and into the 1950's. The capacity of the building in the 1920's and 1930's was listed at about 900. In the 1960's, the theatre was renamed the Dorset Theatre, until it finally closed sometime in the late 1960's or early 1970's. The building , also known as the Arcade Building, also housed Burch Paint and Glass, Dorset Laundry and Apartments while the movie house was gutted, with a drug store and apartments currently occupying the building.

     Other theatres in Cambridge were the Grand Opera House above at 9 Race Road ( listed from 1931 to 1938 , seating 600 and being converted into stores ) , and the State, ( listed in 1938 thru 1952 seating 600 .) There was also a Lincoln Theatre listed in 1931, also seating 600, likely one of the above theatres operating under another name.
