Victoria Theatre, Baltimore Maryland
| A few old postcard views of the Victoria Theatre in the 400 block of East Baltimore Street (below). While the facade of the old theatre (Above) still stands, little else does. The theatre section of the building was torn down years ago, and is not a parking lot. The block was once the home to several early Baltimore movie houses, but the area has changed over the years. ( Below) The Gayety Theatre in the rear still stands, but the tall building to the right, known for years as the Tower Building was razed in the 1980's. The 400 block of East Baltimore Street has become famous over the years as a red light district, and all the movie theatres in the block have become porno stores and clubs. |
