The Town Theatre just before it closed in the late 1980's.  The entire area has seen development and plans have been suggested to include the Town as well.

Restoration underway
Just around the corner, the Hippodrome Theatre has undergone a multi-Million dollar renovation, in hopes of bringing back some life to the West Downtown Baltimore shopping area. One can only hope the Town and those few other surviving movie theatre downtown get accepted into the plans, although we aren't too sure. The Town Theatre was purchased by a bank, and so far it looks like there might be an attempt to save the only theater. It opened as the Empire Theatre, and has undergone many changes over the years. . T.Paul 2003 Photo
