While the Website PeterDPaul.com is mainly focused on
the older architecture and scenes of America's old main
streets, those postcards can't help but capture the
human side of what those Towns and Cities represent.
Below are a few of our favorite postcards from around
the Country. |
 Look closely to the right, and you can see two little girls posing in this photo. The town is Couer d'Alene Idaho, and I'm willing to bet the girls were trailing along with dad, the photographer all day. Click the postcard for more postcards from Idaho. |

 Postcards were always meant to capture a day in the life of the Town. This postcard from Idaho City, Idaho has two town residents in the car to the left staring at the camera. |
 The old signs really helped make the Street views impressive. Department Stores, Movie Theatres and Snowball Stands ??? had large signs that caught your attention. |
 Several Cities and Towns had large archways, welcoming travelers to the location. Many of these would later come down, often after being struck by trucks or in traffic accidents. |
