128 North Crain Highway
Glen Burnie, Maryland
 ( Anne Arundel County )

Glen Burnie had for a time two movie houses and a Drive in. All three are long since closed, but it was the New Glen that went out with community uprising, and it wasn't to save the old theatre either. While the New Glen showed family movies for years, in the final years, it showed the " skin flicks " that many movie houses show in their later years. Downtown Glen Burnie was beginning to turn " seedy " according to area residents, and many people felt the New Glen Theater was the biggest part of the problem.  As the old movie house was closed down and torn  down, resident showed up to show their support for a renewed Glen Burnie. The site is now part of a government complex.
