In 1931, the Film Daily listed
Ringler's as the town theatre, seating 350. By 1938,
it was listed as the Mt Airy, and was listed through
1952, seating between 190 and 352 people. There was
another Ringler's Theatre listed in the FDA in 1931
, in Bishopsville on the Eastern Shore, which
makes me suspect a typo on the part of the FDA. (Just a possibility ...... ) We recently checked a 1930 copy of
the Mount Airy paper " The Community Reporter ", but
for that year, we could find no ads or theatre
references.We'll continue to dig........ |
