From what I can tell, the old
Leader Theatre is no longer standing. Using
the New Theatre as a reference point, it appears the
empty lot next to the boarded up old hall is just
about where the Leader would have been. There were
actually three theatres, over the years, in this
block of South Cumberland, the Leader, Lloyd and
New. Several nickelodeons were also located on
Virginia Avenue in South Cumberland in the early
movie days a few blocks South.
