The Hippodrome Theatre ads at first showed the vaudeville shows  to be seen on the stage, but as the vaudeville era passed , movies were the  entertainment of the day at the Hippodrome. 2004 found the re-opening of the Hippodrome and once again, live shows can be seen at the theatre.
