Plans are in the works to redevelop the entire area, which included saving the old Hippodrome and the Town Theatre. I'm not sure where the tiny Howard Theatre fits into the plans, but my gut feeling is it's not good for the old theatre. I went downtown in late January 2010 , and the  whole block looks ready for demolition.
