The Gayety , 405 East Baltimore Street.., one of the famous "block" theatres in Baltimore. It never really showed movies, but we could not have ignored it. I don't think the Gayety gets listed by the Film Daily Yearbooks, but it is listed in the Arrow Street Guides back in the 1940's. After several bad fires and closings , the Gayety remains a known landmark for Baltimore's Block to this day. |
