found for the years 1931 to 1952, seating between 385
and 400 people. The Devon Club , a three story building, opened March 23, 1911 - Built by the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company for the use of the employees as a Social Center - Auditorium was located on the third floor , complete with a stage For years had a series of programs, with National writers - and various entertainment - In later years , A motion picture theatre was placed in the auditorium, closed as more people watched tv and went to less movies on March 30, 1960.
