Marion Station,
Maryland
|
|
| For
Several years, the Community Club is listed in the
Film Daily for Marion Station. Kilduffs took a trip
down and found what was left of the little down below.
We are not sure which building, if any of those, was
the Community Club. |

: Film Daily Yearbook - 1931 seated 300 Film Daily Yearbook - 1952 Not Listed Listed in the FDA from early 1930's to 1945, seating 300 to 600 people. One of the neat things about doing this survey is finding out things about the State you never knew. Marion Station is a small town on the Eastern Shore,in Somerset County between Westover and Crisfield. For years, the area built a train station as the town became the largest strawberry producing area in the world. In later years, the trains stopped coming and the area slowed down. There are a few buildings left in the town, some deserted, but I'm not sure of the Community Club is one of them , nor do I have an exact address for the old movie house as well. |
