Dundalk Avenue runs southeast out of Baltimore
City and into Baltimore County. Along the
route, you come across the Carlton Theatre,
the Colgate Theatre, the Abbey Lane Theatre,
the Strand on Shipping Place, the Watersedge
Theatre and finally the Anthony Turner in
Turner's Station. None of these theaters show
movies anymore, but the Carlton did continue
to show movies into the 1980's, although they
were adult films. .....................................................................................................

![]() The Carlton Theatre was
opened in the late 1940's and survived for many
of it's later years showing X rated films.
While the theater closed in the late 1980's, the
building still stands
and is in great condition, currently used as
offices.
