Opening day for the Crest Theatre, circa 1949. Located in the Hilltop Shopping Center at Reisterstown Road and Rogers Avenue, in Northwestern Baltimore City. The theatre had 1,700 seats, with seats equipped with extra leg room and two smoking loges. When the Crest opened it's doors, the owner filed a lawsuit to argue that it should be allowed to show more first run movies, which at the time were shown at downtown movie theatres. ..............................................
