The theatre was built in 1925 and found listed in 1928 in the Film Daily Yearbook, seating about 350 people, and in later years almost 600. A check of the Film Daily also shows it listed in 1939, with the same seating. It appears the building has since been remodeled, so much so that on our visit, we drove by it twice before we found it. Hyattsville seems to be undergoing a lot of development lately, and had been used as offices in recent years.

Another theatre we have found in Hyattsville is the Hyattsville Theatre , which was also razed and had been at 5612 Baltimore Avenue .( Picture below is of the Hyattsville Theatre from the Library of Congress )
..
The Hyattsville seated between 800 and 900 and was listed from 1945 and the 1950's.

There was also an earlier Arcade Theatre ( 1910's to 1920's )  in a converted church, located at Spencer and Maryland Avenues, which might still be standing.
